Our Process
Step 1: Drain Pool
The first step of the swimming pool resurfacing process is draining the pool. We will send an employee to prepare the site and drain your swimming pool and or spa. This process also includes pulling the static plug located in the pool’s main-drain.
Step 2: Pool Prep
The second step of the pool resurfacing process involves our expert hydro-blast, multi-coat, and strip crews for the preparation process. These crews thoroughly prepare your pool surface by Hydro-Blasting old surface material and prepare it to receive the new surface material of your choice.
Step 3: Tile And Masonry
Now that your swimming pool has been prepped, you are ready for Step 3, where our highly skilled tile and masonry craftsman installs your selected pool tile, coping, and other decorative features such as ledger stone. This process can take anywhere from 1 to 4 working days.
Step 4: Plumbing And Seal
This step is to seal the plumbing to ensure that your pool is watertight and ready for your selected pool surface finish. We will also acid-wash your pool shell at this time.
Step 5: Pool Surface Installation
The fifth step involves the installation of the pool surface finish material you selected. Now your remodeled swimming pool really starts to take shape. This can be a 1-2 day process, depending on your material selection.
Step 6: Acid Wash Pool
Acid Wash (optional depending on finish.) If you have selected a Pebble, Polish, Glass, or darker Quartz finish, it will be necessary to add the optional sixth step of an Acid Wash, a standard part of the process. Our crews are highly trained and skilled and are able to perform this step in an efficient and safe manner.
Step 7: Pool Fill-Clean up
Once your new surface has been installed we will begin to fill your pool back with water, this step is very important as only clean city water can be used and no well water as to unknown minerals and metals that could damage your new surface. In some cases we would recommend you have water delivered that is free of known minerals or metals we can test your supply prior to your pool being filled.
Step 8: Chemical Start-up
Initial Start-Up/Surface Curing. The final step in the pool resurfacing process, referred to as the Initial Start Up, is one of the most important steps to be completed for the extended look and life of your new pool surface material. This process needs to be performed to allow the surface to cure as evenly as possible. It requires regular monitoring and service during the thirty days of the curing process.
Step 9: Enjoy your new pool
Now that all steps are complete there is only one thing left and that’s to enjoy your new backyard oasis.
